The Morocco Session

Morocco tends to be a destination weighted by timeless images and personal fantasies. The souk, the tea, the fortresses and the mosques - all ring true as you explore this sunbaked land. At Sustain The Stoke we aim to skip the obvious and charge the memorable. For our inaugural session in Africa, we've teamed up with the visionary crew behind Oasis Fest to create an immersive' primer' to Morocco. Our 7 day journey includes surf breaks and dune drops. Getting lost in souks and sitting by a bonfire in a secluded beach. Total immersion and total impact.

As always, our trips are for surfers of all skill levels - whether you're just watching, or out there ripping. Check out the trip details and the impact on our partner communities below. But please note that given the nature of this trip, we are very limited in capacity, and this is a first come/serve experience, so please book your spot ASAP.

After dinner and drinks, well head back to Skhirat for the night.

SEPT 06 / DAY 3 - Casablanca

Well spend the day exploring Morocco's largest city, highlighted by the beautiful Mosque Hassan II and the medina. After some time to explore the city on your own, well meet up for dinner and head out to check out the Casa nightlife scene.

After a lazy, post-night out  breakfast, were setting sights for the fortress town of Essaouira! Driving along the Atlantic coast, we'll stop along the way for some incredible views, and some interesting sites as well. After reaching our destination and settling into our home for the night, we'll set out to explore the city. We'll walk the walls, drop in on local artisans and entrepreneurs, and practice the timeless act of haggling at the legendary souks. Regroup for dinner to trade 'war stories' from the souvenir hunts, and later a drink or two at one of the city's clubs.

This morning Well be hitting the road again as we head out to Agadir. Driving along rugged coastline, keep your cameras out for some fantastic views. We'll have lunch at the marina, and visit the Oufella Kasbah and the valley of birds gardens. Next up, after a quick drive down, we'll reach our Taghazout, Morocco's unofficial surf capital. Dropping our stuff at our villa and picking up gear, we'll head out for an afternoon session and visit to one of the local surf-towns. Tonight, we'll be hosted for dinner and drinks at the Blue House, a shared home for surfers, entrepreneurs, and nomads.

After a dawn patrol and breakfast, we leave our familiar beachside surrounding for the Zagora desert. Cutting through the dunes, we'll stop for amazing views and fun desert activities (did someone say camels?), reaching our encampment with time to settle in for an incredible desert sunset. Secluded at our Bivouac, under infinate stars, enjoy a fireside feast, accompanied by drumming, singing and dancing.

Mornings in the desert tend to be frosty, so bundle up! After some traditional mint tea and breakfast, we saddle up for imperial city of Marrakesh! We'll visit the gardens, and explore the beautiful souks.  Majorelle Gardens by Yves Saint Laurent, The Menara, The Koutoubia, and The Place Jamaa El Fna are only some of the sites to be seen. This being the last night of our trip, we'll send our experience at Chez Ali with some belly dancing, traditional Moroccan music and the Fantasia Show.

SEPT 11-13 / OASIS

We emerge from beach and desert, leaving the dunes and surf breaks behind to reach our grand finale, The Oasis. The next three days promise to be a whirlwind passion and bliss. Your passes and accommodations are set. Your only role is to just take it all in.
