Typically morning surfs are offshore and afternoons are light onshore, So dawn patrol is always recommended!
feb. 20 / DAY 1
Welcome to Costa Rica! Our shuttle will be waiting for us at arrivals for the drive out to the Pacific Coast, snacks and drinks on board! After about an hour, we’ll stop for a fun break by the magical property of Miramar, owned by partners Vida Experiences. We’ll enjoy some fresh juices care of Miramar’s incredible edible forest, through which we’ll take a ‘snacking and learning’ tour, and learn a bit about the eclectiv permaculture project on site.
Refreshed and energized, we’ll head out to Playa Hermosa, arriving by evening. Homebase for the next few nights is at the charming, locally owned guesthouse Vista Hermosa. After some time to get settled in, we’ll head out for our first group dinner, and get a bit of introduction to the area, the trip, our cause partners, and to one another!

After a healthy breakfast at our guesthouse, and an exhilarating first surf session for those who are up for it, we’ll head out to Jaco to meet up with the kids at Pura Vida – Fighting for Kids. After a well-earned lunch, we have a fun optional afternoon Zip-line canopy tour, always a popular excursion. As an alternative, there’s a fun jungle hike, capped by a sunset surf session back in Playa Hermosa. We’ll all regroup for dinner to share experiences of the day!
